While getting ready for a night out, a full moon forces a young woman through a gnarly transformation.
Full Moon Radio is a short film showcasing Kayla's werewolf transformation. We used a mix of new and old equipment, with the classic Olympus C720 (a decade-old camera!) to create a unique visual style inspired by the over-the-top drama of Jersey Shore reality TV and the absurdity of werewolf memes. Star White and Kayla Williams designed the incredible transformation outfit, which we hand-built to bring Kayla's character to life. This project was a fun learning experience, pushing the boundaries of the C720 and exploring practical effects.
The idea for Full Moon Radio came from the unlikely pairing of Jersey Shore's dramatic antics and the hilarious world of werewolf memes. We wanted to capture the humor and outlandishness of both in Kayla's transformation, creating a film that's both entertaining and visually interesting.
